As the end of 2009 nears, we have been asking folks what they really enjoyed in terms of films, television and DVD. None of these are meant to be lists of the best of the year, merely what some have enjoyed.

Irish author Ken Bruen recently shared his picks in typical Bruen style:

True Blood…………………anything from the creator of Six Feet Under get’s my vote and I just love the camp humour in this and it’s as steamy as the location, the acting is superb and wonderful script

Mad men………….season 2…………….what can I possibly say but it goes from strengh to strength………….

Appallossa………..Ed Harris and Vigo Mortsen………….the ultimate Western for me, and the stunning photography

Man On A Wire…………………one of the finest documentaries I’ve ever seen

White Tulips………………..from the director of The Hidden………proving he is one of the finest most innovative directors around

And Traitor………I would watch anything with Don Cheadle

Look for future lists by Sean Chercover, Gerald So, Clayton Moore, Roger Smith, Megan Abbott, Lou Boxer, Angela Henry and more.
