Stop me if you have heard this before: Hollywood is looking Garth Ennis’ PREACHER graphic novel.
The title character is a down and out Texas preacher that becomes imbibed with the incredible power of Genesis, an entity that is the result of the coupling of an angel and a demon.
Upon finding out that God has apparently abandoned his duties in heaven, the Preacher heads out, across country, to confront God. His ex-girlfriend and an Irish vampire (with a fondness for liquor) accompany him.

This time around, AMC has ordered a pilot for a proposed series. It looks like Seth Rogan is behind it. He sent folks chattering after tweeting the following: looks like about seven of years of hard work are about to pay off. I may get to bring one of my favourite stories ever to life.

Those are characters from the stories.
In the past several years, there have been attempts to bring Custer and co both to cable television and to the big screen. Sam Mendes was attached for a film, but pulled out after securing the directorial seat for James Bond.
At this point, all Preacher news should be taken with a grain of salt.
