Twenty-six year-old American-born British actor Andrew Garfield (pictured) has been revealed as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the 3-D reboot film directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer), slated to premiere in 2012.
I haven’t seen any of Garfield’s work, but studio bosses Amy Pascal and Avi Arad have high praise for him. I did think the franchise needed a reboot after the horrendous Spider-Man 3. A reboot allows Marvel to incorporate Spidey in the continuity it has been building between movies since Iron Man (2008).
