Cinemax has announced they have ordered a fourth season for BANSHEE. The series will contain eight episodes.
While the channel has generally been known for cheesy late-night skin flicks, Cinemax has been working on original content. One of the more successful shows has been BANSHEE, the series focuses on Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, Pennsylvania, where he continues his criminal activities, even as he’s hunted by the shadowy gangsters he betrayed years earlier. The series comes from Alan Ball, the man behind TRUE BLOOD and SIX FEET UNDER.
For those that have not seen it, Banshee is fairly entertaining and will appeal to those that like them a good anti-hero.
