Hello
Of late all my reading of comics has been sourced of the internet, due to the fact that these publications simply are not available in my part of the globe, and not because i'm taking a particular stance against the comic publications machinery.
I've casually browsed your blog several times when i was searching for materials for a paper i presented on comics for a culture studies course in college. reviews of comics are not difficult to find, but it is very difficult to find writing that relate comics to socio-cultural trends, correlations made with popular art movements and so on.
i have the usual Will Eisner texts along with some other "canonical" texts on comics- perhaps you could suggest blogs that deal with comics on a larger socio-cultural (whatever the country maybe) scope, or perhaps you could point out some of your previous articles.
sorry, this is quite a lengthy comment especially since it is my first.
am reading THE FILTH and the Darkhorse Comics runs of ALIENS and PREDATOR, and am currently checking out THE BLONDE.
