Poison Flower, the latest Jane Whitefield book, came out in March.

Yesterday, Deadline broke the news that the CW is looking to develop Thomas Perry’s Jane Whitefield for a series. Jane, who has appeared in seven novels, is a Native American guide who helps people in danger disappear.
Natalie Chaidez will handle the writing duties. Natalie has a long TV resume that includes IN PLAIN SIGHT, V, HEROES, JUDGING AMY and, most recently, NECESSARY ROUGHNESS. While NR has not impressed me, IN PLAIN SIGHT and JUDGING AMY both delivered strong female leads.
Carol Mendelsohn is producing and that may not be so great. Mendelsohn is an exec producer for all three CSI shows. While they may be successful, they also suck. Other credits include PROVIDENCE, THE DEFENDERS and MELROSE PLACE. The fact that she has three very successful shows on TV certainly gives this project a decent shot at getting made, but can she create a strong, character based series?
Mr. Perry has, along with Chaidez, been named as a producer.
