I have to say I am a little intrigued by ARROW. The clips give me some hope that this might not be a total turkey. The series is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow.
After a shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing & presumed dead for 5 years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. He returns home to Starling City, his mother Moira, sister Thea, & friend Tommy. He reconciles with his girlfriend, Laurel Lance. He secretly creates the Arrow – a vigilante – to restore Starling City to its former glory. Oliver plays a wealthy, carefree & careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. Laurel’s father, Det. Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Oliver’s mother, Moira, knows more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine.
The show premieres on Wednesday, October 10th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
