Word recently came that TNT ordered a pilot for the George Clooney-produced series DELTA BLUES. The series is about an excellent cop that moonlights as an Elvis impersonator and lives with his mother.
Word comes, via THR, that Clark Johnson will direct the pilot. Johnson is a veteran actor that turned to television directing. His acting roles include City editor Gus Haynes on THE WIRE and Det. Lewis on HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREETS. He has directed episodes of THE SHIELD, LIE TO ME, THE WEST WING and THE WIRE.
Excellent news! Johnson has turned into a fine director. Very good choice!
