Variety is reporting that Dennis Lehane will be adapting his own story Animal Rescue for Fox. Animal Rescue appeared in the excellent anthology BOSTON NOIR.
The story features Bob Saginowki, a part-time bartender whose life gets more than a little crazy when he rescues a battered pit-bull puppy out of the trash.
Dennis has previous written for THE WIRE, but this will be his first script for film.
