Fox has announced that they will be releasing Street Kings on August 19th. The film will see a release of a single-disc ($29.98 U.S.), a two-disc ($34.98 U.S.) and Blu-Ray ($39.98 U.S.).

“Gripping performances by Keanu Reeves and Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker power this explosive urban crime thriller, in which a veteran cop finds himself ensnared in a deadly web of conspiracy and betrayal. Reeves stars as Tom Ludlow, a hard-nosed detective still reeling from the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, Ludlow realizes his own life is in danger and he can trust no one.”

In addition to Reeves and Whitaker, Street Kings stars Cedric, Chris Evans, Common, Naomi Harris and Hugh Laurie.

Iconic author James Ellroy (Black Dahlia, L.A. Confidential) penned the original script, with David Ayer handling directing duties. Ayer previously directed Harsh Times as well as having written the screenplays for Training Day and The Fast and the Furious.
