Fans of The Sopranos now have something to put on their wish list for Christmas.
Warner/HBO announced today they will be releasing Sopranos: The Complete Series on November 11th. This 33 disc set will have a SRP of $399.
The set will contain all 86 episodes plus two discs of bonus materials and 3 cds of music.
Among the bonus features is 16 deleted scenes
An interview with Sopranos creator David Chase conducted by Sopranos fan Alex Baldwin.
Supper with The Sopranos: This is two featurettes that were filmed at a New York Italian restaruant. The first features Chase and some of the writers, while the second has various actors from the show.
Also included will be Sopranos parodies from SNL and others.
The Paley Center for Media (Formally the Museum of Television and Radio) panel discussion on death and The Sopranos. This was hosted by Bryant Gumbel and featured Drea de Matteo (Adriana La Cerva), Steve Buscemi (Tony Blundetto), Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy), Annabella Sciorra (Gloria Trillo) and David Proval (Richie Aprile). They discussed the various ways their characters had died.
There will also be a 56-page book and a 16-page episode guide.
All of this comes in a black linen box.
So while the price tag is a huge one, it sounds like something that Die-hard Sopranos fans won’t want to be without.
The fact that HBO Video has not released ALL The Sopranos seasons on BLU-RAY is a major blunder that has annoyed millions of loyal fans. The greatest tv drama of all time and HBO has made just one of the six seasons available in high def. Why????????
