ENDEAVOR Series Two, THE BLETCHLEY CIRCLE Season Two are featured in this week’s giveaway

This week CrimeSpree Magazine, in conjunction with Friday Reads Facebook page, is offering up a pair of outstanding British TV series: ENDEAVOR Series Two and THE BLETCHLEY CIRCLE Season Two

Endeavour Morse (Shaun Evans) returns to duty at Oxford City Police with four new murder mysteries set amidst the turning tides of 1960s Britain.
Trove – Four months after DC Morse’s brush with death, he is reunited with DI Fred Thursday (Roger Allam) to investigate an apparent suicide. When Morse begins to consider seemingly unrelated cases, Thursday worries that Morse’s wounds may have been more in mind than body.

Nocturne – When a man is murdered, Morse’s investigation leads him to a dreary school for girls, where he learns of a series of murders that took place almost 100 years ago to the day. Morse races to prevent the ghosts of the past from crashing into the present.

Sway – A woman found choked to death marks the third strangling in a month, putting the Oxford City Police on edge. Morse and Thursday grapple with their own personal travails as they narrow down the list of possible suspects before the Oxford Strangler strikes again.

Neverland – Morse investigates the cases of a missing boy, a dead journalist, and a prison escapee, drawing him into a chain reaction of troubling events that could reveal horrors of the past. Morse and Thursday band together to confront corruption on the police force and misconduct extending to the upper echelons of Oxford society.

Anna Maxwell Martin, Rachael Stirling, Sophie Rundle, and Julie Graham are joined by Olivier Award-nominated actor Hattie Morahan for two new code-breaking thrillers in The Bletchley Circle, Season 2. The series is based on the lives of four extraordinary and brilliant women who worked at top-secret HQ Bletchley Park during World War II.

Blood on Their Hands: It’s 1953, and a year has passed since their first case was solved. Former Bletchley Park colleague Alice Merren (Hattie Morahan) is in prison, awaiting trial for murder, but offers no defense and refuses to speak. Jean (Julie Graham) believes her to be innocent and must reunite the circle to help establish the innocence of one of their own.

Uncustomed Goods: Having lost her job as a translator, Millie (Rachael Stirling) is subsidizing her income by working a sideline business in the black market, which lands her in jeopardy when she becomes caught up in the dangerous and murky world of people trafficking.
