A couple more names have been added to ONE FOR THE MONEY, the film based on the bestselling novel by Janet Evanovich. Katherine Hiegl stars as Stephanie Plum, a Jersey girl that, upon losing her job as a lingerie buyer for a department store, goes to work as a bounty hunter.
Kheigl.com is reporting that Debra Monk is playing Mrs. Plum, Steph’s mom. Debra won an Emmy for her role as Katie Sipowicz on NYPD and had recurring roles on DAMAGES (Deniece Parsons) and GREY’S ANATOMY (Louise O’Malley).
Fisher Stevens is Morty Beyers, a bounty hunter that was working for Vinnie, Stephanie’s cousin, until his appendix burst.
Stevens is best known for Short Circuit. He appeared in a couple of eps of NUMB3RS as a rather clever criminal that gets the best of the Eps brothers.He has also appeared in numerous television shows and films, and has done some voice work for audio books. I listened to him reading Christopher Moore’s A DIRTY JOB and LAMB and have to say he did a fabulous job.
Annie Parisse is Mary Lou, Stephanie’s best friend since childhood. Annie was a regular on LAW AND ORDER ( (A.D.A. Alexandra Borgia) and AS THE WORLD TURNS (Julia Lindsey Snyder) and can currently be seen on AMC’s RUBICON. She also regularly works in theater.
