File this under: You have got to be kidding me.

Every now and then, I whine about Hollywood. Topics have included JOUST, ASTEROIDS and the MAGIC 8 BALL. THR, and Lifetime, has been kind enough to give me another topic.
UNANSWERED PRAYERS, a song by country star Garth Brooks is the source for an upcoming telefilm for the Lifetime channel.
“Through his music, Garth Brooks is one of the greatest American storytellers ever, and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with him on adapting ‘Unanswered Prayers’ into a major original movie,” said Tanya Lopez, senior vp original movies at Lifetime. “The huge popularity of ‘Unanswered Prayers’ is proof his work touches so many people.”
I guess I should be happy Tanya was not listening to Britney Spears. Garth was popular, but one of America’s greatest songwriters? I can think of 5 or 6 Tom Waits’ songs that would make far more interesting films.
Apparently the song is about a man that is supposedly happily married that finds himself stuggling with a tough dilemia when his high school crush comes to town.
If you have to think about it, you are not that happily married.
