Tonight, Hank Phillippi Ryan appeared at the venerable Minneapolis bookstore Once Upon A Crime, as part of her tour for the launch of her newest thriller, THE WRONG GIRL. Ms. Ryan kept the room hanging on her every word as she shared anecdotes from her storied career as an investigative journalist at the NBC affiliate in Boston. In particular, she shared her personal experience working at the station during the Boston Marathon bombing earlier this year; how she was the only reporter working that day and was called down to the studio with no notice or warning. She ended up being on camera for three solid hours, sharing information with the city as soon as she got it.
A mystery reader since she was a small child, Ms. Ryan is enjoying a very successful second career as a novelist. Crimespree Magazine wishes her continued success with THE WRONG GIRL.
