According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harlan Coben is working with Greg Malins, Exec Producer of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, on a new television series.
The gist is that a former big name P.I. has retired to become a criminology professor. Said P.I. has suffered a bullet to the head. That head injury has resulted in a loss of inhibitions. According to Harlan, that “makes him a psychopath. It (also) makes him a better cop and teacher because he doesn’t have a sympathetic outlook.”
It turns out that Harlan and Malins are both repped by WME. When Malins found that out, he had WME set up a meeting.
Kudos to Harlan. He has come a long way since the bloody balls.
