HBO knows talent when they see it.

The pay cabler has ordered a pilot for ALL SIGNS OF DEATH, a series based on Charlie Huston’s 2009 excellent novel THE MYSTIC ARTS OF ERASING ALL SIGNS OF DEATH.

Webster Fillmore Goodhue is our hero, a former school teacher that now cleans crime scenes. The book is dark, but also damn funny at times and is certainly one that each of you should read.

Alan Ball (SIX FEET UNDER, TRUE BLOOD) is exec producer. While a pilot is never a lock for a season order, Ball has both a good eye and an excellent relationship with HBO. Unless the pilot is a train wreck, I think we can expect to see ALL SIGNS OF DEATH, on HBO, in 2011.
