This week has some nice releases, but I have to say that PRIME SUSPECT is a must have. If you are not familiar with the show, it is one of the best, if not the best, British police procedural series ever. Pick this up, you won’t regret it.

The world’s nerdiest secret agent is back in the one-hour action-comedy series Chuck. Zachary Levi stars as Chuck Bartowski, the Buy More electronics store computer geek who unwittingly becomes the government’s most vital secret agent. At the end of last season, Chuck was transformed into the Intersect 2.0 after receiving another data download into his brain. This time, however, he not only knows government secrets, he is also equipped with the knowledge and coordination of deadly fight skills. Chuck finally has the potential to become a real agent. There’s just one problem — his emotions. Can Chuck keep his emotions in check as he assumes his new role as the Intersect 2.0? His handlers will still be there to protect him, but they also must help him become the agent he is destined to be.

Criminal Minds revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country’s most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. The Behavioral Analysis Unit’s most prominent agent is David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), a founding member of the BAU, who returns to help the team solve new cases, while pursuing some unfinished business of his own. Each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators’ motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

Prime Suspect begins with DCI Tennison seizing the opportunity to head a murder investigation—something sh e should have done long ago, had she not been passed over by her male superiors time and again. The following series include: a murder inquiry in the African Caribbean community; a 17-year-old rent boy murder; an abducted toddler; the manager of an exclusive country club murdered; a shooting case of a young drug dealer; new murders casting doubt on a case she solved previously; and the torture and murder of a young Bosnian refugee.
