THE WALKING DEAD has added Laurie Holden to the cast, according to Reuters. Holden played Agent Olivia Murray on the final season of THE SHIELD and has previously worked with exec producer/writer/director Frank Darabont on THE MIST.
She will be playing Andrea, who is described as “a key member of the survivor group who has a proficiency with a sniper rifle and falls for a man twice her age.”
Production is supposed to start in August. There had been hope that it could debut, in October, on AMC’ Fearfest (formally Monsterfest), the network’s 14th annual marathon of thriller and horror films. But that seems like a fairly short turnaround.
