After speculation regarding the future of of LONGMIRE, A&E has decided to order a third season.
This afternoon, exec producer John Coveny tweeted that SEASON 3 for Longmire is a GO!
The second season ended on a cliffhanger, one regular was arrested for murder and another seriously injured. The story of Cady’s accident should play a large role, as will the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Walt’s wife. It has been suggested that her murder might not have been a simple mugging.
The episode averaged 4.4 million veiwers, with 1.1 mil in the key demo of 18-49, both were season highs. For the season, Longmire was down slightly, averaging 3.7 million weekly viewers vs.the 4.0 million that season one had.
