Sienna’s LUTHER character will likely be a bit more gentle.
Haunted police detective Luther has a potential girlfriend. BBC America has confirmed that Sienna Guillory is joining the cast for the third series.
She will be playing Mary Day, a worker in a vintage clothing store that become a love interest for Luther. Guillory has appeared in a number of the RESIDENT EVIL films, but my only experience with her is in LOVE ACTUALLY, where she cheats on Colin Firth with his brother.
Sienna is thrilled to be joining the cast and has nothing but great things to say about the show: “You realize why Luther is so good when you read Neil Cross’ scripts, and then you meet Idris and understand what ‘untamed’ means. There is no other set I’d rather be on, and I love the disastrous fun of being Mary Day, the right girl in the wrong place.”
Filming recently started on the four-episode third series. No date has been set for broadcast, but it is expected to air in 2013.
