Everytime something really goofy is optioned for a film (video games like Joust and Pong, board games like Battleship and Chutes and Ladders), I think “ok, that is as dumb as it gets” and then I usually end up being wrong.
Deadline is reporting that Paramount has purchased the film option for Mattel’s magic 8 ball. Apparently this will be the basis for a live action adventure film.
I am just giddy with anticipation. Not for this film, but for what bit of stupidity will top this.
A humble suggestion: HIRE SOME WRITERS WITH A) Talent, B) BRAINS and C) CREATIVITY!
