– Jeremy alerted me that the official Iron Man II site is up. I’ve watched the extended trailer, and I think it may be giving away too much of the movie, but I still want to see the movie, premiering May 7.

– Meanwhile the L.A. Times has an interview with Thor movie director Kenneth Branagh, who surprisingly and auspiciously calls Thor his “single comic book passion” growing up. Thor is currently shooting in New Mexico and is scheduled to premiere in 2011. To recap the cast, Chris Helmsworth (who played George Kirk in JJ Abrams’ Star Trek) is playing Thor, Natalie Portman is playing his mortal love interest Jane Foster. Anthony Hopkins is playing Odin, and Tom Hiddleston is playing Thor’s mischievous brother god Loki.

I’m more interested in Iron Man II at this point, but I am curious to see if and how Branagh can humanize Thor, Odin, and Loki.
