Midway through it’s freshman season, PREACHER has earned enough love from AMC to garner a second season. AMC has announced that they have ordered a second season consisting of 13 episodes, three more than the current season.
This is a tremendous success for a project that has spent over 20 years languishing in Hollywood. In that time, it has bounced from series to film and had Sam Mendes and James Marsden attached to it. It wasn’t until Seth Rogen (KNOCKED UP, SUPERBAD) stepped up that things really started moving.
The TV series is not 100% faithful to the comics, but it captures the spirit and is worth watching.
