The 2014 shortlist was compiled from entries with help from Waterstone’s staff and readers across Scotland. The prize will be judged by our panel: former Scotsman editor Magnus Linklater, Jenny Niven, Portfolio Manager for Literature at Creative Scotland, and Angie Crawford, Scottish Buyer at Waterstone’s.
The winner will be announced at an award dinner, held at The Colessio, during the festival on Saturday 20th September, and presented with a trophy, a cheque for £1000 and a bottle of Deanston single malt whisky.
