Variety has reported the result of the dueling lawsuits between Crusader Films and author Clive Cussler.
The Jury awarded Crusader five million in damages, but said that Crusader must pay Cussler $8.5 million for the rights to the second title in the two-book deal.
Hopefully both sides will now sit down and shut up. Neither side came across particularly well in this entire fiasco.
Things are not completely done, as a judge is going to schedule a hearing to determine whether or not Crusader might have to pay more. But I would guess that will not be the case.
