Announced today at Emerald City Comic Con, writer Brian Azzarello, artist Eduardo Risso, colorist Trish Mulvihill, letterer Clem Robbins and cover artist Dave Johnson are reuniting for a follow up to 100 Bullets called “BROTHER LONO” a character last seen by fans dropping out of a window. Looks like he got up and he’ll be wreaking havoc in Vertigo Comics come June. Spaceman was a lot of fun and we hope to see more, but it’s great to hear that Lono is back. We heard rumors late last year and we are thrilled to see the band back together. But let’s be honest, we’re such fans we’d buy Casper or Wendy...

I’ve read comics my whole life, I learned how to read with them. As I’ve grown older my tastes have changed and what I enjoy and comics have grown with me. 100 Bullets is the ultimate example of comics for grown ups. It is straight up crime fiction, uncompromising with nothing sugar coated or twisting to a hppy ending just to make people smile. The combination of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso is a one two punch right to the gut with every single one of the 100 issues. The dialogue is amazing and the art is perfect. 100 BULLETS VOLUME 12: DIRTY Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso 2008 Vertigo DIRTY collects 100 Bullets issues 84-88. The series will be ending with issue 100, so it’s safe to say that things are really starting to amp up to what I’m sure will be a killer conclusion. This is one of the best pieces of crime fiction I’ve read in years, each volume another chapter in a saga that is complex and absorbing. Brian Azzarello has been doing such an amazing job on this series. Coming into the finale thigs are really picking up speed.The latest trade collection is out, volume 11 called ONCE UPON A CRIME. The minutemen are all back and the members of The Trust is in a scramble to take charge. Agent Graves has been putting together the plan for this confrontation for a while and it’s all coming to a head. People are picking sides and watching thier backs gearing up for what coming.
