DC TRADE REVIEWS

Batman: Jekyll and Hyde DC Comics Writer Paul Jenkins along with two of the coolest artists working today, Jae Lee and Sean Phillips, pit Batman against one of my favorite villains, Two Face. Jekyll and Hyde see Harvey Dent at the precipice of total madness and what he has in mind for Gotham and Batman will take both men right to their limits. Jenkins does a superb job digging into the characters and duality of both Bruce Wayne/Batman and Harvey Dent/Two Face. Creepy, sad, very human this is a side of these characters we don’t often see in this depth. Coupled with the artwork by Lee and Phillips this is a perfect comics/Gotham noir tale....

Birds of Prey – Dead of Winter DC Comics I like teamups, a bunch of heroes (or villains) getting together and giving us a mix we don’t normally see. Gail Simone adds to the Birds of prey roster a few unlikely gals who just are not going to take any hassle from anyone. Big Barda, Manhunter and Hawkgirl are not going to go softly into any good night. She also brings in the Secret Six with new member Harley Quinn. Brave and The Bold #7 DC Comics The backstory iwth the book of destiny continues as this new story kicks off with Wonder WOman and Poer Girl. Mark Waid and George Perez are...

This time it’s the League of Batmen, or Batmen of many countries or as it’s called here, The International Club of Heroes. The club gets together for it’s annual meeting and that Batman joins them for the first time in years.
