DirectTV picks up DAMAGES.

After months of negotiations, DirectTV has signed a deal for two seasons of DAMAGES. For those unfamiliar with the series, DAMAGES stars Glen Close as Patty Hewes, a ruthless lawyer that will stop at nothing to win. 2010 Emmy Nominees

The nominees for the Emmys were announced this morning. GLEE and HBO’s THE PACIFIC were the leaders, with no real surprises. I am happy to see Sharon Gless get nominated for BURN NOTICE. Early on, she annoyed me but has really developed into an interesting, and entertaining, supporting character. I would have loved to see either John Noble (Walter from FRINGE) or Judd Hirsch (Alan from NUMB3RS) get recognized, but knew both were long shots. Too bad because they delivered truly great performances this year. TREME got one lousy nomination. WTF? How about Goodman? Peters? How about for writing? May I suggest that the Emmy voters watch...
