HBO to air Rowling’s CORMORAN STRIKE

HBO has announced the purchase of U.S. and Canadian rights to CORMORAN STRIKE, a series based on the Robert Galbraith novel. For those living under a rock, Galbraith is the pseudonym of J.K. Rowling and the three books have sold a reported four million copies worldwide. Rumors of HBO’s involvement has swirled for quite some time, but it is not official. According to Deadline, BBC One is producing the limited series, which will feature three stories: The Cuckoo’s Calling (3 one hour episodes), The Silkworm (3 one hour episodes) and Career of Evil (2 episodes). Now in its twelfth year, the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award was created to celebrate the very best in crime writing and is open to crime authors whose novels were published in paperback from 1 May 2015 to 18 April 2016.
