MacDonald’s Archer coming to the big screen?

Ross MacDonald’s Lew Archer is one of the most iconic characters in the P.I. genre and Warner Bros are looking to bring him back to the silver screen. Deadline is reporting that WB, along with Random House films, to develop THE GALTON CASE. At this point, no writers, directors and actors have been attached, it is simply a deal that has been hatched. THE GALTON case was the eighth novel to feature Archer and was published in 1958: Rich boy Anthony Galton had dropped out of sight more than twenty years ago.
