WONDER WOMAN Movie Review

Wonder Woman I really like Wonder Woman a lot, as I wrote about HERE Just back from the opening night of Wonder Woman and I loved every minute of the film. From the opening with Diana getting a package from a friend and then fading to her origin to the very end of the movie with her jumping into action again. Lilly Aspell played Diana as a child and was so good, her posture and expressions foreshadow who she will become. I also loved Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta, strong and wise and regal. Robin Wright was Diana’s Aunt, Antiope and played the role beautifully. The Diana becoming Wonder Woman part was a nice blend of things taken from the...

Wonder Woman And Me

My first exposure to Wonder Woman was in the late sixties when I first started reading comics.  I knew her as a member of the Justice League of America and when I had my own money and started buying comics in the early seventies I did pick up Wonder Woman on occasion. I’ve always enjoyed the character but when I started reading comics she was going through a phase without her powers and no costume. Human nature being what it is of course the 140 are all on a hit list, because who wants to share when you can...

It was cool and exciting and the first few years felt really hip. Of course over the years it developed its own continuity issues and baggage and this past summer was folded into the regular Marvel Universe. DC Comics has established multiple earths within the DC Universe and each is designated a number. Earth One is now...
