Joel and Ethan Coen are going to revisit the film that brought The Duke an Oscar: True Grit.

According to Variety, this will not really be a remake of the John Wayne film, as it will be more faithful to original Charles Portis novel.

True Grit tells the story of a 14-year-old girl that teams with a couple of lawmen to track her father’s killer.

The new version will be more from the point of view of the girl.

While I am interested in seeing Joel and Ethan tackle the western genre, I am a little bummed that this will jump in front of the film version of Michael Chabon’s The Yiddish Policemen’s Union. I can’t wait to see how that turns out.
