TV Guide.com is reporting that things are looking up for Veronica Mars. As I reported previously, VM creator Rob Thomas shot a Six-minute trailer for an updated version of the show. This version would jump forward a few years, with Mars done with college and now in the FBI.
Apparently CW President Dawn Ostroff liked the trailer. Enough so that Thomas has reportedly been asked for more details on the proposed new season.
With the Gilmore Girls being canceled, CW has an hour slot still open.
While this is obviously good news for the fans, don’t look for most cast members to be jumping up and down. It looks like only Miz Mars (Kristen Bell) will be returning.
In Variety article, Mars creator Thomas said “I kind of like our chances.”
The decision should be made public in the next week or so.
