After years of nothingness, things are coming together nicely for SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR.
This week, word came that the Robert Rodreguiz/Frank Miller flick has added Joseph Gordon-Levitt (LOOPER, DARK KNIGHT RISES) , Josh Brolin (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN) and Christopher Meloni (OZ, LAW & ORDER: SVU) to the cast. We previously learned that Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jaime King were returning, while Dennis Haysbert and Jamie Chung were replacing Michael Clarke Duncan and Devon Aoki respectively.
Joseph is reported to be playing Johnny, a character that has been described as a cocky gambler who disguises a darker mission to destroy his most foul enemy at his best game. Meloni’s role is simply stated as being a cop. Brolin’s role is the most interesting: He will be playing Dwight, a role previously played by Clive Owen. But it makes sense that somebody is else is taking the role. In A DAME TO KILL FOR, Dwight looks totally different. ADTKF, which takes place before the events in the first SIN CITY film, ends with Dwight having his appearance drastically altered.
In addition to A DAME TO KILL FOR, SIN CITY 2 will feature other stories, some being written just for this film.
