A few months back, I mentioned that TNT had four crime dramas in development, well they have green lighted one of those shows, and ordered a pilot for a previously unmentioned drama.

First up is Night and Day.

N&D is “a fast-paced, gritty drama about the life of an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.”

Joel Surnow and Todd Robinson are producing. Surnow is a co-creator and former producer for 24, while Todd Robinson has worked on various television and film projects in the last couple of decade. He served as a director for America’s Most Wanted, and will be directing Last Full Measure, a war drama starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Laurence Fishburne.

Second: Time Heals. TH is about “Nancy Hawthorne, the strong but caring director of nursing at Charlotte Mercy Hospital in North Carolina, a single mother who always puts the pain of others first.”

TH comes from John Masius. Masius has a pretty impressive resume: St. Elsewhere, Dead Like Me, L.A. Law, The White Shadow and Touched By an Angel. Masius has won two Emmy awards and was nominated thirteen other times.

Time Heals will be the cable networks third drama with a female protagonist. Both The Closer and Saving Grace have extrodinarily strong female leads at the heart of them.

No word on casting for either show.
