The folks behind (and on) DARK BLUE can breath a sigh of relief. TNT has ordered a ten episode second season of the gritty police drama.

DB stars Dylan McDermott (looking as though his last good night’s sleep might have been during the Clinton years) as the head of deep undercover unit. I personally enjoy the characters and premise, but disliked the show’s habit to wrapping everything in each episode. It seems to me that undercover work is more in depth and these tales should carry over from ep to ep.

In addition to McDemott, the show stars Logan Marshall-Green (THE O.C., TRAVELER), Omari Hardwick (SAVED, upcoming A-TEAM film) and Nicki Aycox (SUPERNATURAL, COLD CASE).

TNT has renewed all of their shows except RAISING THE BAR as well as having brought SOUTHLAND on board. They also have greenlighted several pilots including DELTA BLUES and RIZZOLI (based on the characters of author Tess Gerritsen).
