TNT has made official what seemed like a no-brainer: a fourth season of RIZZOLI & ISLES has been ordered.|
The show, which features the characters of novelist novelist Tess Gerritsen, has averaged 7.1 million viewers this season and is the top show for TNT. The fourth season, which will likely debut in the Summer of 2013, will consist of 15 episodes.
In the series, Harmon plays Jane Rizzoli, a no-nonsense Boston police detective, and Alexander is Maura Isles, a smart, impeccably dressed and somewhat emotionally detatched medical examiner from a privileged background. The two are total opposites, but remain the best of friends.
