CBS has ordered a fifth installment in the Jesse Stone film series. Jesse Stone is a character from the novels of legendary crime writer Robert B. Parker (best known for Spenser).
Tom Selleck plays Jesse Stone, the chief of Police of a small town.
The new film will be entitled “Jesse Stone: Thin Ice.”
Jesse (Selleck) finds that his job is in jeopardy after the attempted murder of State Police Capt. Healy (Stephen McHattie), his close friend and colleague; he also attempts to solve a kidnapping case that was supposed to have been solved years ago.
Sounds like he has a lot on his plate.
Filming will begin, in Nova Scottia, later this summer. No date as been set for airing.

I really like the Jesse Stone movies – hope they keep them coming!
OK, I'm hooked on the Jesse Stone movies. Got every one and can't wait for the next one. Frankly, it's been too long. Been a Tom Selleck fan ever since he was here in Hawaii filming the Magnum TV series. He always came across as a good guy, really down to earth. Hope he plans to make more. He IS Jesse Stone. Robert Parker is a great writer and I hope he can find time to continue writing the Jesse Stone stories. I look forward to reading them. My favorite Selleck movies are the westerns. He's at his best in westerns, in my opinion. He's a natural in just about any western role.
Have every Jess Stone, can hardly wait to get the next one.

This series will captivate you from the very beginning. Tom Selleck plays Jesse Stone to perfection. He's humble, vulnerable and yet, fascinatingly strategic. Jesse is deliberate and mindful with his language and actions. His relationship with other characters creates intrigue and suspense. Can't wait for the next sequel.
