ABC News dot Com reports that Tom Sizemore was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine this morning(05/08/2007) outside the Four Points Sheraton hotel in Bakersfield, California.
Officers were called to the hotel at around 7:30 a.m. by a report that a man had challenged an employee to fight while trying to check in, Terry said.
The man, believed to be an associate of Sizemore’s, had gotten into a dispute over whether he had a reservation, the detective said.
Jason Salcido, 33, of Whittier, was found to be on parole and officers found he was carrying a “narcotic smoking pipe,” Terry said.
Officers learned that he and Sizemore were together and saw Sizemore sitting in a 2004 Ford Mustang in the hotel parking lot. “He displayed symptoms of being under the influence,” Terry said.
A search of the car turned up two bags of suspected methamphetamine and “some additional narcotics smoking pipes,”
Well. I am speechless. While I am not one to kick a man while he is down. Mr. Sizemore obviously has a problem, some would say a disease. He definitely needs help.
Personally, I like him as an actor. Everything I have seen him in he has had a solid performance. But ….COME…..ON!
Let’s see: I am on an iffy probation, (for a 2004 Meth conviction) that has been revoked and reinstated twice AND out on bail pending an appeal of a conviction for beating up Heidi Fleiss. So, after all that, I think I will go check into a hotel at 7 in the morning, high as a kite, with another guy who is also on probation and likes challenging employees of $500-a-night hotels to Gentleman’s Duels (No reservation! NO RESERVATION! How dare you, sir! How DARE you! Pistols at 10 paces!). And the court system has been no help to Mr. Sizemore, after testing positive for drugs in January of 2006 he “tearfully acknowledging he used drugs, he was given three years of probation.” He tearfully acknowledged!? Tearfully acknowledged?! Occupation? ACTOR. A….C….T….O….R!
But to avoid getting beat up if I ever actually meet Mr. Sizemore: Tom, I love your work and hope this time you get the help you need.
