HBO has announced that True Blood will premiere on Sept 7th, with a run of twelve episodes.
The series is based on novels of Charlaine Harris and set in Louisiana in a world where vampires walk the earth.
Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress, with Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton, a vampire.
Alan Ball, creator of Six Feet Under, is producing the series.
There also appears to be a couple of websites launched to promote the series:
Blood Copy and a site for a ficticious product called Tru Blood, a synthetic blood drink…yummy.
Now that sounds like it's worth watching. HBO and Alan Ball is a great mix. I'll certainly be keeping my eye out for it now as I wasn't aware of it before. Thanks!
It looks like HBO is really pushing True Blood with a lot of promo money going into it.
I have not read the books, but I certainly will give the show a chance.
It's a wonderful show people! I just wish I knew when the second season was premiering!!!
From what ive been able to find, season 2 wont be premiering until May
