Variety is reporting that Oscar-winner William Hurt (Children of a Lesser God, Broadcast News, Kiss of the Spider Woman) has signed on to join Glenn Close on the FX series Damages.
According to the article, “Hurt will play a client of Close’s character, tough-as-nails attorney Patty Hewes. Hurt’s character and Hewes also have a past that’s more than just professional.”
Tate Donovan and Rose Byrne will both be returning from the first season.
Last November, FX ordered two additional seasons of Damages.
Season one was damn impressive. The show takes advantages of the freedoms of being on cable without being gratuitous. It was smart, tight and gripping. If you have not seen it, I would suggest you pick up a copy on DVD.
