It has been announced that actress Lauren Lee Smith is joining CSI. Her character, Bryce Adams, will replace that of departing Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle).
Adams is described as “a smart, flirtatious and witty nonconformist who is hired as a CSI on the night-shift team.”
Smith was a regular on Showtime’s The L Word as well as having appeared on season one of Intelligence.
Comic book fans might remember her from Mutant X (Emma DeLauro).
Among those she reportedly beat out for the role is Katee Sackhoff, also know as Capt. Starbuck for the new Battlestar Galactica.
Reader Randy Johnson asked who will be replacing outgoing Gary Dourdan (Warrick Brown). While no actor has been cast, here is a description of the character:
“Ray Santoro, a “handsome, smart and athletic” CSI who transfers from Henderson to join the graveyard shift at the Las Vegas crime lab.”
They are looking for an actor in his late 20s to early 30s.
Any news on who will be replacing Gary Dourdan next season. I knew he was leaving the show and judging by last night's finale, it appears the exit is permanent.
No one will ever replace Jorja on CSI, they should quit saying she's Jorja's replacement and just say she's a new addition to the show, but with her being thrown in our faces as Jorja's replacement then I for one already don't like her, and don't think I can and I'm sure many other Sara/Jorja fans are gonna feel the same way. I just hope that she won't be a love interest to Grissom, for me that would be the end of the show.
Having just watched Smith on Intelligence, I am looking forward to her character.
She is a very talented actress.
I thought they were building up Liz Vassey's part to be the new team member, the way they did with Eva LaRue over on CSI: Miami
