I should be working.
I should be doing layout on two issues of Crimespree.
I’ve started.
The covers are done and to the printer already. And the insides are well under way. I’m just hitting a wall.
I want to watch some DVDs, or read or do something that doesn’t need a review.
But I have coffee and smokes.
And three days to finish.
Then I’m going to do some things that don’t need doing.
Isn’t there always something better to do than work or a reason to procrastinate work? Is it a nice day out? Is there a new book out by your favorite author? New movie? Football season? Hockey season? Have you checked RAM for the 12th time today?
(just to name a few..)
Remember, if work were meant to be fun, then that is what they would have named it. You would be out with your friends, and have to tell them “I’m sorry, I can’t stay out any later tonight. I have to get up early to go to fun!”
Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the coffee, Jon. And there’s pie- Fuhgeddaboudit!
Since the entertainment editor still has not submitted his column or several reviews, you should indeed spend a little time relaxing.
If you took the night, and maybe early morning, I am sure more content would arrive and thus spur you on.
