Final Destination meets Scream. Just without Ghostface. A fast-paced slasher novel with everything you want. Blood, suspense, and a twist you won’t see coming.
Hannah is still haunted by a hiking trip gone wrong. One that ended in her fiancé Ben’s death. She doesn’t like to talk about it, but the nightmares won’t let her forget. Life keeps spiraling, and after losing her job as a medical intern, she’s barely holding it together.
So when her friend Tess invites her on a wellness retreat, it seems like the perfect escape. A healing journey. A fresh start. But that’s not what she gets.
Instead, a killer starts gruesomely picking people off. The retreat becomes a survival game, and for Hannah to make it out alive, she’ll have to face her trauma and uncover who’s behind the mask (figuratively).
I was so excited to learn that the author’s a huge Scream fan because I am too. The short chapters, the sharp pacing, and the gory scene descriptions made it impossible to put down. Slasher stories usually feel like they belong on screen, but this one delivers everything in book form without losing any of the thrills. And the ending? Completely unexpected. That twist elevated the whole story.
If you’re into Scream, Final Destination, or anything soaked in horror and gore, this is your cup of coffee or blood. You choose
