The true crime drama The Gold stars Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) and Jack Lowden (Slow Horses) and is inspired by the historic 1983 Brink’s-Mat robbery – one of the largest in British history – when 7,000 bricks of pure gold bullion were stolen, smelted, and money laundered over decades. The Gold will premiere on PBS MASTERPIECE Sunday, October 5 at 10/9c.
