What do you miss about touring vs virtual touring?

  1. I miss the readers. There is no substitute for interacting with them face to face. That said, virtual touring is a great way to meet other authors. I’ve enjoyed knowing every one that helped me launch THE UNWILLING.
  2. It’s impossible to look good on Zoom. Lighting? Setting? None of it matters. I suppose it could be my face…
  3. Coffee mugs hold whisky, too. Large mugs seem to work best.
  4. The moment I go live on a virtual event, every dog and child in the house decides that’s the time to get very loud. It’s eerily predictable…
  5. I do wear pants to these events. I’m not sure every writer can say the same, but who can tell?
