Season three opens with Annie Walker hitting the ground running in an episode called Hang On To Yourself. As she comes into work she finds herself working in a different division and for a new boss. The structure of who is doing what at the office has changed a bit and while she feels a little off because of it her ability to adapt comes through. Her new boss a less hands on and while on a mission overseas to track down a potential terrorist she finds herself making more of the shots than she might normally. it seems to me that this season will feel faster in action and see Annie grow as an operative. There is an event that will shape what happens the rest of the season, so if you are a fan of the show you shouldn’t miss this. If you haven’t seen the show, it’s also a great jumping on point.
Annie Walker is very new CIA op who was brought in for her quick thinking and linguistic skills, and Piper Perabo does a great job of making her charming, funny and likable, but also believable. A wonderful supporting cast brings in the trademark USA network Character driven aspect with Peter Gallagher, Kari Matchett, and my personal favorite on the show Christopher Gorham.
Season three of COVERT AFFAIRS begins tonight at 10 PM / 9 PM Central on USA Network.
