So, here’s the run down and the hook that got me to pick it up.
Two serial killers getting on in years are both living together in a retirement home. A little Bubba Ho Tep sure, but what a great idea. The Boston Strangler and the Zodiac Killer, bith sharing the first name Robert, are both now up there in years and live together in the same place. After a while they discover who the other is and they become friends, sort of. I don’t want to give away any more plot, but I will say that what these guys get up to is really fun to read.
What I really enjoyed about was the way these two guys were portrayed, not as complete crazy people, but as men getting older. There are some great thoughts on aging in here and they really click. I also like the way that both men handle what they are and wht they do it. It feels very honest.
There are also some really interesting extras in the collection including correspondence with Charles Manson and The Hillsdie Strangler, Ramirez.
This is a great book for people who dig crime fiction, and people who just really like great stories.
